Information

The Merseyside Young Walkers Group was formed in 2004 and membership averages around 100. The group has enjoyed many different activities including White Water Rafting and Mountain Biking in Wales.

We are a member of the Ramblers Association, and cater specifically to those of a younger age group. There are now over 50 younger groups nationwide.

Membership fee is very modest and in addition to the Ramblers Yearbook & Accommodation Guide, members receive the quarterly magazines ‘Walk’ and ‘Hike’, which give full details of news, events and articles to interest all ages. Membership also gives an added bonus of discount on outdoor clothing & equipment at many retail outlets. All members can go out walking with any affiliated Ramblers group at any time anywhere in the British Isles.

This group would like its supporters to be involved. So if you would like to get involved, maybe as a leader or a general committee member, please contact us.

Walking is fun and great for your health and well-being, so why not join this group. There are regular walks, weekends away and social events. This website, www.fillyaboots.org.uk is regularly updated with forthcoming events, so check the message board and walks page regularly to guarantee your place to join us in the activities.
